SpeedCoat: packaging that sells before the spec sheet.
A foul release coating for hulls and propellers, by Surface Coatings USA. A technical product, a demanding buyer, and a can that had to explain all of it in three seconds on the shelf.

The challenge
In the marine sector, paint and varnish packaging all looks the same: dark background, industrial type, too much text. The product has strong arguments (poison free, exclusive formulation, naval protection), but they got lost in the technical information.
The solution
We created the name SpeedCoat, joining the benefit (a clean hull is a fast hull) with the category (coating). On the can, a white background to stand out on the shelf, a curved blue band that recalls a wave, and a propeller symbol that becomes the line's signature. The bronze propeller photo shows the result, and the three benefit badges get their own icons, legible from a distance.
Result. A can that explains the product without reading the fine print, and a system ready to grow into other formulations of the same family.
